HONDA DC 2019
f°am presents a Honda Campaign, which we designed and produced together with branding agency Karmarama. To celebrate its third season we decided to edit a DC with a bit of f°am on top.
Honda has always endeavoured to go bold with their product imagery, and have been a progressive brand in that sense. Therefore we are especially pleased to finally make this simple yet striking piece for them together with the great team at Karmarama.
f°am Studio’s concept revolves around several current Honda models on a giant hinged mobile. The pivoting movement of the suspended car platforms creates a spatial choreography providing flow and a sense of freedom.
For our Designers Cut version, we had some fun with fashionable color interplay. Already in the third season and evolving ever so beautifully, the brand colors of the original are just as pleasing to the eye. See below for our client version.
The models depicted are the Honda Civic, Honda HR-V, Honda CR-V, and Honda Jazz. Each year we changed the cars’ editions to the seasonal versions.
WATCH THE FILM
In the commercial client version of the film, we subdued the environment colors to make the cars stand out in stark contrast.
The images from the development phase show already a compelling minimalist configuration of shapes that structure the screen space in an alluring Bauhaus pop style, as if Froebel and Montessori made Calder play with cars.
